Youtube is the second largest search engine after google. It has billions and trillions of users which are engage in browsing the site daily. Making money with Youtube is the best idea to earn money through internet. There are many people which are using Youtube as their income source just by uploading their own videos.

It is interesting to know that South Korean sensation Psy showcased his song “Gangnam Style” on YouTube and the rest is history. Here are the steps below which you have to follow :

1. Create a Youtube account : Lets start with creating a new account on youtube. You can create a new account or use your existing google account for YouTube also. 2. Setup your Youtube Channel : After you sign in you have to setup your own channel to upload content to Youtube. Every account has a channel here. Setting up your channel is as easy as setting up your profile or a page on facebook. Here are the main points to cover :
   
    
   
   
   • Give your channel a unique name. You can give your own name also, but it should be short and easy to remember.
   • Set a simple and short URL for your channel. The URL should be related to your channel name. Use simple keywords that are easy to find you on youtube. For e.g. www.youtube.com/myurl
   • Describe your channel in your own words. Tell people what is your channel about. 
   • Add Channel Art. It is similar to adding a cover picture on facebook.
   • You can also give links to your website or other social network sites where users can find you in the About tab of your channel.
     
     
3. Upload Content to your channel : After setting up your channel start uploading videos to your channel. The point to be remember while uploading are :
   
   • Content should be your own. It should not be copyright of others.
   • It should not contain any nudity or pornography.
   • It should not violate Youtube's Tems and conditions.
   • Try to upload content of high quality.
   • Keep uploading regularly. People are more likely to subscribe if you add content on regular schedule, and maintain that schedule as much as possible.
   • Try to make each video better than the last. You will often learn as you go.

4. Share content and gain more and more audience : You need people to watch your ads in order to make any money off of them. Follow these tips to get audience :
   
   • Upload content regularly.
   • Make videos with good content as well as quality.
   • Put time and effort into editing your videos.
   • Use keywords so people see your video.
   • Make sure you add tags when uploading videos.
   • Create social networking site accounts (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and advertise for yourself!
   • Make videos based on what's popular on the Internet.

5. Monetization : Go to Video manager (top right corner) than -> Channel Settings (left) than -> Select Monetization. or you can go directly to this link https://www.youtube.com/account_monetizationThere should be an "Enable My Account" button you can click. If you don't see it yet, then you don't quite have enough of a history with YouTube. You should have some videos in your account and 1000+ views (just an assumption) to enable monetization.
   
                                                
   
   
   
6. Google Adsense : Now, after enabling monetization in your account, you have to associate an adsense account to see your earnings and to get paid.
   
                                                
   
   
   
   Once again you will need to create an Adsense account by filling your information like your address, phone number, SSN/TIN, and more. Make no mistake that Google is paying you whatever you make from ads.
   
                                              
   
   
   
   Note : Fill your form with your correct details because it is not just a form, it is the gateway to your earning. Your payee name should be as same as your bank account name. You cannot change payee name after submitting the form. So fill with total consciousness. 
   After filling all the details, Click on "Submit" button. Wait for 2-3 hours. you will get an email from Google AdSense team regarding the approval of your account.
   
   
7. Spread your Videos as far as possible : While you're waiting for the card Google sends to verify your address, this is a good time to upload a video or share/spread them, so you can start building a history with the site. The videos don't need to be public; they can be unlisted or even private. Share as much as you can and get the views of your videos. You can use facebook, twitter, google+ and other social sites as well as social apps like whatsapp, hike, line etc to spread your video's link to more and more people.
   
                                                  
   
   
   Now after following these steps, you know how to create account, setup channel, upload videos, enable monetization, associate google adsense account, and get more and more views. These are the basic points to earn money through YouTube, but you should also have some knowledge about the ads which are the main source of income.
   
   Note : You don’t make money based on the amount of views you have.  You make money based on people’s engagement with the ad.  Engagement here means clicking or watching a ad for more than 30 seconds. Also don't click on your own ads, it may count as spam and result in terminating your Adsense account.
   Types of Ads :
   
   
   • Cost Per Click (CPC) :
   CPC is when an advertiser pays money based on clicks.  So if a certain keyword has a CPC of $3 and someone clicks on that ad, it will charge that advertiser $3. These text ads pop up in the lower part of the screen during the video and can also show up as a square banner on the right side of your channel. 
   
   
   • Cost Per View (CPV) :
   CPV is when an advertiser pays money based on views.  A view for the advertiser means someone watches an Ad for at least 30 seconds or half of the ad; whichever comes first.  That person could click that ad 50 times but it still wouldn’t charge the advertiser more because they’re not paying for the click, they’re paying for the view.
   
   • Pre-Roll Ads are the ads that act as a preview before the video starts and viewers can skip it after 5 seconds. 
   • In-Search Ads show up in the search results and are surrounded by a light yellow box. 
   • In-Display Ads show up on the right side of YouTube in the suggested video area.

8. Become a Youtube partner : This is the most interesting point in making money through YouTube. It is the only website which provides you the chance to work together as their partner. This is most high position among all other users. Basically, YouTube won't consider you unless you've got over 500 subscribers and 20 videos. That means tens of thousands of "channel views", although lots of companies with unique videos have become partners with substantially less.

Here, you do not have to make ads in your videos to make money, just a link placement in the description box below.Your main target is the small percentage of visitors that convert to real customers.
   
   
10. YouTube Rentals : This is one of the most recent ways of making money on YouTube. In this method, content creators are allowed to offer their content for rent and then share a portion of the profits made with YouTube. However, YouTube has not yet clarified whether the service will be available to all or just certain types of users.This will definitely provide a whole new method of making money on YouTube, as users will be charging rental fees for their videos.
